Teaching method

The teaching methodologies are consistent with the learning objectives. Lectures deliver a complete and detailed exposition of the syllabus. The theoretical-practical classes provide answers to questions and discussions in smaller groups of students of the most important aspects. In addition, the theoretical-practical classes stimulate the learning and training of equipment manipulation, the recognition of signs and symptoms of changes in nutritional status and the choice of the most appropriate methodologies. Additionally, the work done in theoretical-practical classes allow the application of theoretical concepts. The work in groups allow a detailed discussion of the topics presented in small groups and help the teachers to evaluate how the students are learning the topics of the course. The continuous assessment in the theoretical-practical classes, contextualized within the content of the lectures, encourages students to study continuously during the year. The final exam aims to assess all of the knowledge acquired in theoretical and theoretical-practical classes.

Evaluation method

Theoretical classes (classes of expositive anture, directed to large groups).

Theoretical-pratical classes: anthropometry training; presentation and discussion of clinical cases.

The evaluation will be made taking into account the following parameters: case study (50%); examination (50%). Students with a grade equal to or great than 10 (0-20) values in each of the evaluation elements, are approved.
