Objectives
- Acquisition of skills of understanding the issues and problems of Education;
- Acquisition of competencies, skills and methods of research in Education;
- Acquisition of skills to design and conduct an investigation respecting the requirements imposed by the international quality standards;
- Acquisition of the ability to critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize new and complex ideas on scientific and social world in general, and the area of Education in particular;
- Acquisition of skills that allow them to communicate with their peers, the academic community and society in general about the scientific field of Education;
- Acquisition of the capacity, in a knowledge-based society, to promote technological, social or cultural progress, in the academic or professional contexts.
- Acquisition of skills attesting the ability to write and develop a research project in Education.

Teaching method
The syllabus will be addressed through the analysis and discussion of research work involving the different phases of the development of projects in progress. PhD students, in more advanced stages of their work, will be invited to share their experience with students of this Course. There will be moments of analysis and discussion of ongoing projects in order to make them more robust and consistent.
Evaluation method
Evaluation of the Course follows the presentation of the monograph, defended in public proof, according to the regulation of the Course.
