Philosophy of Knowledge - 1st semester

Objectives

a) To get a profound knowledge of the main subjects and issues from the Philosophy of Knowledge domain;
b) To be able to evaluate both from an internal and an external point of view different proposals;
c) To enhance the analytical ability;
d) To practice the skills to read in a critical way some major philosophical texts;
e) To practice competences implicated in getting discourses and written texts philosophically consistent and relevant.

Discussion of some particular issues.
Analysis and commentary of texts.

Evaluation method

Participation in the course’s activities (20%).
Two written tests (40% + 40%).

3. Faculties involved in knowledge
4. Modalities of knowledge
5. Limits of knowledge
6. Some solutions for the «problem»
