Geomorphology of Tropical Regions
Objectives
a) To acquire knowledge about the different types of geomorphological processes in the tropical regions, as well as their characteristics and actuation intensities;
b) To understand the dynamics and importance of the vegetation on the functioning of geomorphological processes;
c) To understand the genesis of extreme natural events and their consequences in the tropics;
d) To evaluate the impact of human activities on the dynamics of tropical ecosystems;
e) To apply methodologies and specific knowledge on the analysis of the major landform units.
