Watershed analysis: delimitation; phisiographic characteristics.

Precipitation: classification; precipitation intensity and depth; statistics and hydrology.

Interception: concept and processes.

Evaporation: concepts; measurement; calculation; factors that influence evaporation.

Evapotranspiration: concepts; potential and effective evapotranspiration; potential evapotranspiration.

Flow in the saturated and the unsaturated zone.

Hydraulic conductivity. Darcy’s law.

Infiltration, percolation and drainage.

Surface runoff: river flow measurement; hydrological series; reservoir dimensioning; watershed runoff components; hydrographs; flooding; urban surface runoff.  

Water resources managemnt: demanwater demand and availability; reservoir design and operation.

Soil erosion. Sediment transport.
