Sustainable Cities
Objectives
The Sustainable Cities course aims to introduce the smart city concept and its scientific study.
Methodologies, concepts and case studies related to the implementation and development of a smart city, based on the latest technological advances, will be deepened. It has as its starting point solutions that improve the quality of life of the population, altogehter with sustaninable development and social cohesion, while promoting a more efficient use of resources and responding to the challenges of climate change.
It will also deepen the concept of open data and its influence on the development and implementation of a smart city.

Teaching method
The course will include lectures, seminars by guest speakers and study visits.
Throughout the semester students will develop projects that will be presented and discussed in the classroom.

In order to complete the course successfully the student must have a minimum grade of 9.5 in the final exam.
