It is also given relevance to aspects related to the study of the main methodological issues associated with the development of new statistical operations, namely the definition of user requirements, identification of sources of information, clarification of statistical concepts and nomenclatures, and the inventory of the necessary resources. Furthermore, issues related to the statistical harmonization, international comparability, the creation and operation of statistical databases and statistical confidentiality are deeply discussed. Finally, the aspects related to the relationship between data sources and producers of statistics and between producers and users of statistics are also covered, as well as the impact on the statistical function of new technological solutions, including the use of the Internet.
