Nova School of Business & Economics is a leading school in the areas of Economics, Finance, and Management with its Bachelor, Masters, Ph.D., MBA, and Executive Education programs. Is in the list of the best 25 schools with more than 3000 students from more than 70 different countries, with programs acknowledged by the Financial Times. Students at NOVA School of Business and Economics have the opportunity to study during one semester, in a foreign University, often under the ERASMUS protocol. Nova SBE usually sends around 350 students to study abroad to more than 160 Universities, in 50 different countries, with which our school has bilateral agreements. Students can apply to the exchange program twice a year, since there are two calls - in November and March, through which they are ranked and selected to the respective universities of their choice. This experience gives the students the opportunity to study in some of the best schools in the world, gain more knowledge and enrich their curricular and personal background.

Nova SBE offers Bachelor's degree programs in Economics and Management and Master's degree in Economics, Management and Finance.

Bachelors applications to degree courses of Nova SBE follow separate processes for European Union students (Portuguese included) and those outside of the EU, called international students:

The Career Services goal is to promote Nova SBE students happiness by supporting their self-awareness and market knowledge and providing guidance and resources to enable them to making successful career choices. Thus, the Career Development Program, designed for both Bachelor and Masters students, comprises several relevant activities within four main blocks Self-awareness, Market Knowledge, Career Planning and Recruitment Processes in order to promote students successful placement during and after the completion of their academic program.
An experienced and knowledgeable Career Services team empowers Nova SBE students to achieve a meaningful career, by supporting and inspiring them through Career Modules, Counseling Sessions, Corporate Events, Online Resources and Mentoring Programs. The Career Services provides students with the necessary tools and advice throughout their academic programs, but ultimately they need to be proactive and responsible to find their placement in the job market.
The Career Management Office (CMO) is responsible for providing support to students on all matters related to their transition to the labor market. With this objective, the Career Development Program was created comprising various activities that will help students set personal and professional goals, acquire the skills to meet these and benefit from the contacts and brand recognition in the market of New SBE network. Students must make the best use of the CMO services and tools available to increase your chances of finding the job you want. The CMO exists to give support and advice, but students are responsible for being proactive and find their own placement.

Given by the Bank of Portugal to the best student, from among various universities, having the highest grade point average in the Bachelor's Degree in Economics.
- ii) Democracía e desenvolvimento - UNL award
Instituted by Prof. Doutor Aníbal Cavaco Silva in the amount of the Carl Bertelsmann Award given to the student having the highest grade point average in the Bachelor´s Degree in Economics.
- iii) Boston consulting group award (OK)
Given by BCG - Boston Consulting Group to the best student in the course of Strategy.
- iv) FISIPE - Fibras sintéticas de Portugal award (OK)
Given by Fisipe - Fibras Sintéticas de Portugal to the best student in the course of Financial Accounting.

Grants for the Undergratuate programs:
Merit grants
The Ministry of Education could give, a Merit Grant to the best student of the undergraduate degree in Economics and to the best student of the undergraduate degree in Management of that year.(Note: students are eligible for this grant starting from the second year of their undergraduate studies).
Need based scholarships:
- i) The Universidade Nova de Lisboa, through its Social Services, gives need based scholarships so that no student is excluded from taking undergraduate
studies due to financial restrictions.

Language courses
Language Courses
Masters students at Nova SBE have an option to take Spanish, Portuguese and French classes on-campus, as part of their Masters Program. Limited vacancies available. International students can attend a Portuguese Course with our partner school Faculdade de Ciencias Socias e Humanas, part of UNL. Additionally, Nova SBE partners with ILNOVA for other language courses.

Opening hours: 8:00-8:00 pm Saturdays: 9:00-16.00 h
Azure Restaurant, located in the Horizon Hall.

Cafeteria and Bar Alfredo de Sousa situated on level 0 of the University residence Alfredo de Sousa (at the Campolide Campus).
Opening hours: 8:00-20:30 h. (lunch between the 11:30 and the 14:30 h; dinner between 6:30 pm and the 21:30 h)
All food units of the SAS, being the closest to the college located in Faculty of social sciences and Humanities (AV. de Berna), composed of bar, snack bar and cafeteria with continuous service from 7:30 to 20:00 h, and at the Faculty of medical sciences ( Martyrs of the motherland camp, 130), composed of bar and cafeteria with service of 8:30 at 16:30 h. For the use of these units is required the presentation of student card.
Following agreement with the Social welfare services of the public higher education institutions of Lisbon (Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa and Instituto Politecnico de Lisboa), College students have access to all food units of these institutions, on presentation of their student card.

Studying at SBE Nova is an enriching experience that goes well beyond the classroom. You will be able to participate in various student groups and initiatives that will contribute to your training and achievement as a student, person and citizen of a globalized world, such as Fortuna, Nova Junior Enterprise, Nova Skills, PUMAP, AIESEC, among others.
Student Development Office (SDO)
The Student Development Office is, par excellence, the Student Office. It aims to help the student in their academic and social integration by providing diverse cultural and social activities, such as: dinners, guided tours of the city, tertulias and periodic meetings inside and outside the Faculty. It softens, in this way, its integration and adaptation to higher education, promotes its well-being and allows it to experience with satisfaction its university course.
Thus, we have at your disposal different extra-curricular activities, national and international volunteering. The student can volunteer in various areas, culture, education, environment, animals, among others.
Any NovaSBE student can take advantage of a tutor to ask questions and practice exercises weekly.
We have mentors who accompany the newly arrived students in their integration and academic and social adaptation throughout the first year of the University, promoting individual and group integration activities.
We provide a daily psychological counseling service, in a suitable environment and with a defined structure.
We offer academic coaching service to our students, enabling them to develop specific skills and competences directed to personal and circumscribed goals in any area of ??their academic, social or family life.
Throughout the year we developed workshops with acdémicos themes, such as: methods and techniques of study, time management, proscrastination, anxiety, applied educational coaching, among others.

As the main representative body of New SBE students, AE's primary goal is to increase the mutual support and closeness among students. The AE is made up of a group of more than 30 students distributed according to different competences, according to their area of intervention. His presence in the life of the Faculty is constant. The activities of the AE extend throughout the school year and reach several target audiences.
