Objectives
a) Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most
immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area);
b) Can communicate in simple tasks and routines requiring only a simple and direct exchange
of information on familiar and routine matters;
c) Can describe his/her background and surroundings in a simple way;
d) Can refer to subjects related to immediate needs.
e) Can write a short simple note or message and a very simple personal letter

Teaching method
Practical language teaching. The communicative teaching of the lessons from it aims to
promote the interaction of the learner and an ever more extensive autonomous
learning. The intercultural approach would lead to a better understanding of cultural
diversity.
Evaluation method
1 exam(40%), 2 written assignments (2x20%)(40%), portfolio + active participation during the lessons(20%)
Subject matter
Vocabulary and specific information on following topics: Work and employment, life stories, generations, home and living, money, socialising, sports.
Grammatical structures: Subordinate clauses, simple past of modal verbs, verbs with prepositions, reflexive pronouns, local prepositions, comparative degree and superlative, declination of adjectives.
Working methods: Reading and listening to texts,, audiovisual materials, producing written and oral texts, discussions, presentations.
