History and Theory of International Relations

Objectives

The main aims of this seminar are (a) to develop skills to conceive and carry out research in specific of History and Theory of International Relations, following criteria of ethic and high quality and (b) to elaborate a doctoral thesis project in History and Theory of International Relations that contributes to advance the knowledge in this area, using the adequate theoretical and methodological tools to attain levels of excellence.

Teaching method

Along with a few sessions for discussing general topics on History and Theory of International Relations, students have an individual tutorial supervision, thus receiving direct feedback on their work in progress at regular meetings with the Seminar’s responsible.

Evaluation method

Assessment by a written work that establishes the guidelines of the PhD project.(100%)

Subject matter

The seminar doesn´t have programatic items, because the tutorship depends from the subjects of each doctorate.
