Teaching Spanish FL Methodology II

Objectives

a) To consolidate the fundamental theoretical bases for teaching and learning Spanish as a Foreign Language.
b) To deepen the criteria for the analysis and construction of teaching materials, showing the ability to articulate theory and practice.
c) To reflect critically on the didactic material produced within the scope of Didactics of Spanish I.
d) To develop the concept of critical and constructive observation of classes and consider their advantages.
e) To approach communicative competence in a multi-lingual and intercultural perspective.
f) To explore the principles of critical pedagogy and education for citizenship in relation to LE teaching.
g) To promote awareness of the Hispanic linguistic and cultural diversity.
h) To extend digital resources for Spanish teachers, developing critical awareness of their pedagogical implications.
i) To reflect on teaching skills and the role of continuous training.

Teaching method

Discipline with a constructivist, participative and collaborative approach that combines theory and practice through different research, reflection and discussion activities, individually and in groups. It seeks to stimulate the student's critical spirit and autonomy in his learning process.


 

Evaluation method

Preparation of a project regarding one of the topics covered in the course, chosen by the students(60%), Regular participation in sessions and presentation of essays during the semester (Mandatory attendance in 75% of classes, except student that work)(40%)

c) Critical review of teaching materials produced in the previous semester and analysis of manuals.
