Evaluation rules
A final grade, expressed as a number between 0 and 20 as well as its equivalent on the ECTS grading scale, is awarded to the licenciatura degree. The final grade is the average of the grades obtained in the curricular units that make up the programme of study. A minimum grade of 10, on a scale of 0 to 20, is required to pass each curricular unit or course. The ECTS grade awarded for a curricular unit or at the end of the programme is based on the distribution of marks obtained by all students who passed the curricular unit or programme in the three academic years preceding that in which the student passed. The total number of students who pass or who obtain their degree in this period must be greater than or equal to thirty. If this number is not reached, the period can be extended to five years. Whenever it is not possible to obtain the minimum number of elements in the distribution or the grade awarded is a credit, the classification is assigned according to the table, contained in Ofício Nº. 11196 of Direção Geral do Ensino Superior. Final qualification and eventual qualitative mention (articles 16 and 17 of Decreto-Lei n.º 42/2005, of 22 February)
