Industrial Museology

Objectives

a) To provide theoretical and practical knowledge relating to a branch of modern museology theme, related to the industrial heritage and its historical insertion in international reality
b) Develop the problems intrinsic to industrial museology, through analysis and critical discussion of different cases of museums industrial, technical, science, ecomuseums, rail and mining
c) Encourage the students' contact with identities related to labor, industry and techniques, ordinary objects into cultural and educational context
d) Encourage skills and abilities for the creation / production, programming, production management and industrial museums

a) Preparation of a critical / analytical report on a museum, preferably resulting from the study visit (maximum 10 pages).(35%), b) Elaboration of a descriptive / interpretative reflection on an object (product); mobile or integrated heritage (maximum 5 pages).(25%), c) Case study. Observation and critical analysis of musealization solutions and / or observation of an industrial asset (between 15 and 20 pages).(40%)
