Objectives
Deepening of knowledge and critical comprehension of theoretical-methodological models and of the scientific
branch of Medieval Studies and its applicability to diversifyed and multidisciolinary research contexts
Understanding the received wisdom on the diversity of questions which characterise the Medieval Studies area.
Development of the capacity to formulate ideas and to conceptualise on the basis of reading, research and
brsistorming in academic highly specialised contexts.

Teaching method
Lectures by invited lecturers. The students will have follow up sessions on the moodle platform and their
capacity to argue during the presentation will be assessed and feedback will be given,«. Priori to each lectures students will have to prepare their attendance with previous readings. Sessions will be presential, but with streaming transmission for e-lerning students, who nill need to debate online.

Subject matter
This Seminar is organized as a group of lectures on the several questions arising to the medieval Studies as a
crossroad area, performed preferably by external - international as well as national - experts on Medieval
Studies and/or other Social Sciences and Humanities. The subject-matters will vary from year to year, but the
main point will be that the transversal learning which these lectures aim at achieving is the learning through
previous preparation and readings, as well as the participation in common group debates and online for a for
follow up readership.
