Education objectives

The Doctoral Program in Biotechnology was conceived to confer the following skills:

  •  Ability to systematically approach topics in the field of Biotechnology;
  • Ability to conceive, design, perform, high quality research in Biotechnology, with academic integrity;
  • Ability to do a significant amount of research work contributing to the advancement of knowledge, of which at least a part meets the standards of peer-reviewed scientific journals;
  • Ability to critically analyze, assess and summarize new and complex ideas;
  • Ability to communicate project outcomes and rationales to peers, to the academic community in general and to non-specialists;
  • Ability to foster technological, social and cultural progress in a knowledge-based society, within an academic or a professional community.
