Objectives

This curricular unit is centered on the practical experience of environmental education, with a real project, applying previously acquired knowledge.
A complementary goal is the creation of a network of partnerships, including schools, local government, environmental NGO, among others.

Teaching method

The key teaching method is on the job training, closely supervised by a tutor, with at least two meetings a month for the duration of the project. Classes are centred on project management methods and the overcoming of practical difficulties. Experience interchange between the students is encouraged.

Evaluation method

Evaluation integrates the project report, its presentation in a seminar and its defence.
Evaluation criteria is totally based in the demonstration of success, practical usefulness and relevance of the theme.

Subject matter

The work of this course consists in the planning and execution of a project for environment and sustainability education, under regular supervision of the faculty. Tasks:
1. Selection of partner and project theme;
2. Agreement with the partner and action planning;

3. Execution of the action;
4. Report of results, in the form of a report and seminar.
