Subject matter
The aim of this course is to give the theoretical and practical technologies of coatings and thin films currently used. Will be given an introduction on the classification and type of technology requirements to be followed by the following technologies: sputtering (dc and rf), chemical vapor deposition, chemical vapor deposition assisted by rf; thermal evaporation and sol-gel spray pyrolysis, laser assisted deposition. Examples of different types of coatings will be given. The program concludes with the characterization techniques used for caracterize structure, composition and physical properties.
