Teaching method
The theoretical training classes will essentially be expository and based on the use of PowerPoint-type slide compositions. During the practical sessions with a laboratory component, students will work in a group and be accompanied by two professors, while in the bioinformatics session each student shall individually perform the different exercises proposed in computers, that will be made available for this purpose. Students may also use their own laptops. Sessions of discussion of laboratory results and presentation of moderated articles by students of the curricular unit will also occur.
Evaluation method
The evaluation of knowledge acquired in this Curricular Unit will be carried out by conducting a multiple-choice exam, totaling 40 questions. This will exclusively deal with the theoretical training component. The final classification that students will obtain in this exam will correspond to 50% of their final classification. The knowledge acquired in the course of the practical classes will be evaluated in a theoretical and practical session and will correspond to 10% in the final grade. Students will also be evaluated in their performance during the practical classes, as well as interest demonstrated in the other classes (continuous evaluation). This will correspond to 10% of the final classification. The performance demonstrated during the seminar session will correspond to 30% of the final classification.
