Advanced knowledge in gastroenterology, nephrology, hematology, dermatology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, Intensive Care, including diagnosis and treatment, both in theory and practice; observation of transplant programs.
Expertise for autonomous clinical interview and observation, diagnosis, and treatment options for prevalent diseases, particularly those with higher severity or requiring rapid intervention in the above-mentioned clinical areas.
Identification of emergency situations requiring referral for intensive care or fast track reference: Coronary, Cerebro Vascular, Trauma, Sepsis
Expertise on selection and use of Personal Protect Equipment

Teaching method

Total of 28 large group teaching classes, and about 30 small group classes; ward teaching including direct daily observation of in-patients, and attendance to the various clinical activities (meetings, discussions) in the Unit. All classes will be prepared for direct or online presentation., with public or online presentation of clinical cases, and critical discussion.

Evaluation method

Formal practical assessment of the work and involvement in the daily ward duties and clinical presentations. Formal written exam (100 multiple choice questions). Both assessments will take pace either online or in presence. The practical assessment represents 60% of the final classification and written exam 40%. Minimal classification is mandatory in all areas and assessments.

Theory: Selected integrated themes, essential for building key concepts
Practice:
1. Exposure to key clinical contents in gastroenterology, nephrology, hematology, dermatology, endocrinology, oncology, ophthalmology, Intensive Care, transplantation;
2. Differential and treatment options in the above areas;
3. Ward teaching, ICU and Emergency;
4. Enhanced communication skills;
5. Enhance ability for exposition of complex clinical entities, and therapeutic options;
6. Ability to select appropriate clinical exams;
7. Skills in end of life situations and family contact;
8. Comprehensive and integrated understanding of “being a Doctor”.
