Objectives
In relation to the dissertation:
a) Acquisition of basic capacities related to the research activity;
b) Develop critical sense based on research paradigms and correlated theories;
c) Develop skills at the methodological level in the treatment of research problems.
d) To develop capacity for analysis / reflection / critical discussion based on emerging problems of real practice contexts in the field of Human Nutrition and Metabolism;
e) To develop the capacity to theoretically support the problems of practice by the development of metacognitive competences.

Teaching method
Given that the development of these competences is done mainly through the application of acquired knowledge, the teaching methodology used has a strong practical component and the evaluation itself focuses on the application of an investigation protocol, which assess competencies that should be acquired.
It allows the application of knowledge and skills acquired during the curricular component.
Evaluation method
Reflection sessions and discussion about the problems resulting from the dissertation.
Final Evaluation: public defense of the scientific dissertation applied in the context of Human Nutrition and Metabolism (100%). The assessment is quantitative on the scale of 0 to 20.
