Contemporary Poetics

Objectives

To define and to discuss the concepts of contemporary literature,

To study some Portuguese authors in their dialogs between the classic and the contemporary: from Cesário Verde to Fernando Pessoa, Sophia, O`Neill, Herberto and other contemporary poets.

From the analysis of these classic and contemporary texts, to develop the critical capabilities required to students to reflect on and to research the contemporary, not only as a historical category, but also as an aesthetic one.
