Objectives

It is intended that the student will:
1. Acquire theoretical, methodological and technical skills, allowing students to develop their academic
performance or start a professional career in this field.
2. Formulate relevant research problems, test methods and develop hypotheses, collect empirical data and
analyze in innovative ways, be able to synthesize existing knowledge in such scientific field.
3. Learn how to organise ideas and present results in a clear and proper way.

Teaching method

A master thesis is oriented by members of the courses academic staff, following the principles of tutorial
supervision previewed in the FCSH regulations.

The dissertation is the result of a substantial and profound research, which deepens the work developed in the
classroom and must be prepared under the scientific guidance of a professor of the Master Course, approved
by the Scientific Council. The writing of the MA thesis is supervised by the tutor(s).
