Objectives

To work at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
(Independent User)
a) Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract
topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation
b) Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction
with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
c) Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint
on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
d) Can understand news programmes and current affairs reports.

An intercultural approach which wakes up  the student’s consciousness for a better cultural understanding. Doing tasks which train linguistic and extra linguistic skills.

Subject matter

Vocabulary and special information about the following subjects: Travelling, worlwide Mobility,  neighbourhoods, cooperation and finding a solution for problems
Structure:  Independent clauses with co-ordinating conjunctions and dependent clauses with subordinating conjunctions, nominal, adverbial and adjectival, declination of adjectives, relative clauses
Methods: Reading comprehension of complex texts, listening comprehension, audiovisual material, writing texts, discussions and presentations, presenting arguments ( defending a point of view).
