Teaching method

In general terms, three types of activities are offered: teaching "expository activities" predominantly geared to the learning of themes, principles and contents defined in the program structure; "practical work" preferably conceived for the application and drilling of knowledge linked to the photographic procedures and techniques; and, finally, "tutorials activities of guidance and analysis" which favours the discussion around the creative and conceptual aspects involved in individual and group projects.

Evaluation method

Evaluation Method - Evaluation continuous and will fundamentally take into account (1) the participation and learning demonstrated in class and (2) the quality (considering the creativity, methodology, implementation and reasoning) of exercises and practical projects.(100%)

Subject matter

The program intends to analyse the characteristics, derivations and combinations in the domains of image practice and theory in the context of art, through several approaches on the recent trends at a conceptual, aesthetical and technical level. A first group of contexts arise about certain thematic inclinations and actualizations (e.g. time and movement, history and memory, the everyday, spatiality and placeness), as well a critical view of the artistic genres and categories. These contents are articulated with the analysis of referential texts and with the realization of photographic projects. At last, it will be address several questions related to the forms and devices of presentation/exhibition of photographic works.
