BIM Methodology and Technical Databases

Objectives

The course aims to provide trainees with knowledge in the following areas:
• The BIM environment and the new way of preparing, organizing and managing the railway rehabilitation project process;
• Information and classification systems to be used in the organization and management of the railway rehabilitation project process.

Teaching method

The teaching methodology comprises theoretical-practical classes, where several topics related to: i) Maturity and implementation of BIM are addressed; ii) Digitization of construction and BIM modelling; iii) Classification systems for construction; iv) Standardization of technical information (ProNIC); v) Interoperability between information systems; vi) Application of BIM in railway rehabilitation; in addition to the presentation of application examples in lectures

Classes are presented on a digital platform (Zoom), using slides, copies of which are made available to trainees. The evaluation of the discipline is carried out through practical assignments and their respective presentation.
