Fluid Mechanics
Objectives

Learn the main concepts of the Fluid Mechanics.

Learn and know how to apply the principles of hydrostátics, conservation of the mass, momentum, angular momentum and energy in the integral formulation.

Learn to solve concrete problems of Fluid Mechanics in any area of engineering, particularly in the area of Mechanical engineering.

Teaching method
Lectures and problemsolving sessions.
Laboratory sessions.
Evaluation method
1.The evaluation consists of 2 tests and 1 laboratory work
2. The student is admitted to the final exam if he has carried out the laboratory work on the scheduled dates and obtained a positive grade in the report. The admission to exam and grade obtained is also valid for the following year. The student who has done the laboratory work in the previous year can do it again this year, revalidating the admission to exam and obtaining a new grade in it.
3. The final grade is obtained by the formula: 0.15TL + 0.85T. Being TL the laboratory work grade and T the weighted average of the tests (or the exame grade).
4. The average of the tests is: T = 0.5 (T1 + T2), where T1 and T2 are the first and second tests grades, respectively.
5. Students must sign up at CLIP for the tests and laboratory work.
6. If the final grade obtained by the student is higher than 16, the student may have to take a supplementary oral test to defend the grade (will be informed on the grade listing).
7. In the evaluation tests (tests or exam) is mandatory that students are accompanied his citizen card. Students should carry only a calculator, white sheets and blue / black pen. The calculator can only be a basic scientific calculator. Are not allowed calculators with alphanumeric memory. It is expressly forbidden the use mobile phones during the tests/exam. Failure to comply with this section is assumed to be fraudulent act.
