Product Development Design

Objectives

This UC promotes teamwork, involve teachers from different fields, and is evaluated for competing performance and peer evaluation in teams. Together with the internship in a company, which happen later, will certainly add value to development of attitudes, useful both for further study and professional work.

To lead students from an idea to define the pertinence of it and to have the ability to develop a work that leads to the concretization that allows its functional evaluation.

Evaluation method

• Students are made up of groups of 4;
• The evaluation is made by analyzing the performance of the physical solution developed, using criteria defined at the beginning of the semester.
• These performances are analyzed in competition between teams.
• The best project is defined by the teachers (with a weight of 75%) and by the students (with a weight of 25%), and an absolute value will be assigned (by the teachers); the remaining projects are classified in relation to the best.
• Each group will indicate if all elements have the same classification or if there are individual penalties and which ones.
