The following items outline the course objectives:

(1)  Plan of the learning/knowledge acquisition:

Understand the modern world and its historical evolution, particularly the phenomena that aid in the understanding of scientific and technical communication tactics.

Recognize the structure of scientific and technological communication medium as a reflection of changing social and cultural circumstances.

Understand the impact of modern information and communication technologies on society.

(2) Plan of acquisition of skills:

Development of essential methodological tools for planning and evaluating scientific and technical information and documentation units is part of the skill acquisition plan.

Acquiring abilities in the field of academic research to meet the expectations of peer-to-peer scientific and technological communication.

The creation of communication techniques for disseminating scientific and technological research to a variety of audiences.

Teaching method

There is a mix of theory and practice in the classes. The speaker will present introductions to the course''s key issues, as well as sessions for students to discuss and debate various bibliographic sources. Students will have access to all materials (articles, books, and PowerPoint slides) through the Moodle course page.


Evaluation method

The following elements are included in the evaluation:

1. Writing a scientific essay on a program theme that adheres to scientific and technical writing standards (30%);

2. Writing a critical review of a published work on one of the discipline''s subjects (40% )

3. A presentation of an article or review, with a recording (max. 5 minutes) available on the internet (30% )
