Objectives

Preparação de um projeto de investigação sobre um determinado tema científico na área da Química Sustentável. Após a conclusão da UC o aluno deverá ser capaz de:
- Elaborar ideias, questões específicas e hipóteses para desenvolver investigação partindo de um entendimento teórico e metodológico de um assunto;
- Realizar uma revisão focada da literatura relevante e criar a estrutura conceptual apropriada;
- Desenvolver um projeto de investigação realista com estratégias específicas;
- Pensar e articular um esboço, capítulo por capítulo da dissertação;
- Comunicar ideias de investigação e as suas questões teóricas e metodológicas de modo eficaz e eficiente:
- Criticar outras ideias com especial atenção para o rigor teórico e metodológico, e
- Ganhar compreensão do processo da elaboração da dissertação, incluindo o stress, gestão de tempo e do
projeto, proposta de dissertação e defesa.
6.2.1.4. Learning outcomes of the curricular unit:
Preparation of a research project in a specific theme of sustainable Chemistry. After the completion of the course the student should be able to do the following:
- Apply theoretical and methodological understanding skills into devising researchable ideas and specific research questions and hypotheses,
- Conduct a focused review of the relevant literature and create appropriate conceptual framework,
- Develop a realistic research design with specific research strategies,
- Think through and articulate a chapter-by-chapter outline of the intended dissertation,
- Communicate research ideas and their appropriate theoretical and methodological issues effectively and efficiently,
- Critique other’s ideas paying particular attention to both theoretical and methodological rigor and reality, and
- Gain understanding of the process of dissertation including stress, time, and project management, committee
formation, dissertation proposition and defense.
