Objectives
To analyse the central assumptions of the Fundamental Right of Access to Information, especially the right to legal information and the possibilities and technical specificities of access and consultation, under effective conditions, to the documentary bases of data in the research of the informational tripod, in internal and external scope , of the Legislation, Doctrine and Jurisprudence.

Teaching method
Expositive classes with a view to the effective participation of the student, in order to contribute critically and effectively to obtain the knowledge of research in the normative, doctrinal and jurisprudential aspects and its applicability in different platforms in the professional and academic scope. Possible the preparation of Works in small groups, to seek the development of legal argumentation skills from the development of documentary collection, and teamwork or even a case study decided and its formatting structure, all in order to develop the cognitive ability of analysis and synthesis of curricular topics.

Final written examination, compulsory, individual: 100% of credits
Subject matter
The proposed programmatic content, corresponding to the institutes of the Fundamental Right of Access to Information and the techniques of legislative, doctrinal and jurisprudential documentation, is in line with the way these matters are set out in the Portuguese Rules of Reference and Citation and in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic and is composed of the basic elements that the student needs to know in order to become familiar with the techniques of obtaining and manipulating those sources and to solve the problems of referring and reproducing this research in physical or virtual media of a legal nature. Each respective institute and technique allows the use of pedagogical tools capable of developing the acquired skills, in contents not attached to a linear approach of the subjects, before resulting in the necessary inter-textuality in order to lead the student to the discovery and the resolution of problems of the legal case that is presented to it.
