– Study of national economies' performance and of the policies adopted by the authorities to improve such performance.
2. Macroeconomic policies:
- Actions by the authorities designed to affect the performace of the economy.

Teaching method
• The weekly teaching load is divided into lectures and tutorials.
• Support material: the slides for the classes are put in the site of the course.
Evaluation method
The final exam, without access to any reading material, will have 120 minutes.
Subject matter
The contents of the program cover both the definition and mesurement of the main macroeconomic variables (GDP, inflation, unemployment, money), and also the way economic policies (fiscal policy, monetary policy) affect economic activity and the decisions of economic agents.
