Objectives

Students shall gain insight of methods of financial analysis and analysis of financing and investment decisions made by companies, including concepts and financial tools used to support these decisions. Time value of money and risk will be among these notions, as well as the fundamentals for pricing securities, assessing investment projects and choosing sources of financing.

The contents taught in the course regard the basic concepts of corporate finance. The lectures on those topics, which include the discussion with the students of the features of the financial products and the rationale behind the models used to perform analysis or valuation provide the development of the insights that students are meant to have by the end of this module.
