A bibliografia é composta por um conjunto de elementos (artigos, apresentações, extratos de livros, documentos jurídicos, links para sites da Internet relevantes para este curso), compilados pelos professores e disponibilizados nas apresentações efetuadas nas aulas, ou no Moodle. Existem também sites de particular relevância para esta unidade curricular, nomeadamente os de Organismos Internacionais relacionados com a função estatística e os sites dos bancos centrais nacionais e dos institutos nacionais de estatística. 

Teaching method

The course will be delivered through presentations. Whenever possible, teachers will take advantage of audiovisual support and of Internet examples. It is foreseen theoretical lectures for the presentation of concepts and methods that integrate the content of the course and practical lectures for the presentation and discussion of concrete cases and practical application of the concepts.

Evaluation method

The curricular unit evaluation will comprise:
 - A practical exercise to be developed during the semester and presented in class (30% of the final grade);
 - One written test, to be held in the first season of the Fall Semester exams calendar (70% of the final grade)

In order to apply the weighted average described above, the written test grade has to be 8 or higher.

Students that do not accomplish a positive grade in the combination of these components of evaluation or that wish to improve the grade attained will have the possibility to make a final exam, to be held in the second season of the Fall Semester exams calendar.
