Applied Corporate Finance
Objectives
The course aims to give students a chance to apply the concepts and analytical tools acquired in the mandatory subjects of
Finance. We will analyze a number of cases on applied corporate finance. These cases do not deal with abstract problems,
reduced or stylized reality, but instead, they refer to real situations of a complex nature, where financial decisions are
required in a business context, for wich no right or correct solutions exist in theory. The aim is to xercise the ability to make
decisions on financial management in a structured manner, using a sound and consistent line of reasoning.
The classes will consist of discussion of the cases scheduled. The cases are chosen to cover key topics of business
finance. Students should prepare the cases assigned in advance to each session.
