Patologia e Clínica do Trabalho
Objectives
Learning outcomes:
a) Know the occupational respiratory diseases and its diagnosis methodology. Planning and implementing the most appropriate preventive measures;
b) Know the diseases caused by physical agents and plan and evaluate health surveillance programs;
c) Use the general methodology of diagnosis and prevention of occupational skin diseases;
d) Understand the main causes of occupational cancer and know how to identify the activity sectors and occupations where is observed a higher prevalence of occupational cancer;
e) Understand the concept of vulnerable groups (ageing workers; migrant workers; women and health at work; young people);
f) Understand occurrence of “work-related” diseases.

3. Occupational lung diseases: diagnostic methodology. Most important occupational respiratory diseases;
4. Diseases associated with physical agents: noise; vibrations and radiations;
5. Occupational diseases of skin;
6. Occupational cancer;
7. Priority groups (ageing workers; migrant workers; women and health at work; young people). The specific aspects of women and occupational exposures;
8. Work-related diseases.
