Teaching method
Evaluation method
The assessment methods include: case based scenario - design of an exercise programme for a patient with a musculoskeletal movement dysfunction disorder, limited to 2000 words (100%).
The students must have a classification of a minimum of 50% in the assessment activity. In the case of failure the student will repeat the assignment in a supplementary examination.
Subject matter
· Biomechanical principals and its application to the examination and management of movement dysfunction in musculoskeletal disorders;
· Introduction to quantitative motion analysis and to biomechanical methods/techniques available to quantifying human performance;
· Applied kinematics and kinetics to upper and lower limb motion analysis;
· Training principles and its application in the context of musculoskeletal disorders management;
· Development of structured exercise programmes for patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
