History of Medieval Lisbon

Objectives

Students should:
a) Achieve a solid knowledge of the state of the art of the Studies on the Medieval History of Lisbon.
b) Acknowledge the status of capital of the Realm which Lisbon played.
c) Identify and become familiar with the documentary sources for the study of Medieval Lisbon.
d) Master the problematic and questions addressed by several lines of research on Medieval Lisbon which are still open lines.
e) Write a supervised research essay on the subject of the seminar, based on printed documents.
