Subject matter
1. INDEPENDENT SPACES - PAST AND PRESENT
This module aims to address the role of spaces and independent exhibition
experiences in contemporary artistic territory and revisit modern and contemporary
art through the action of artist-curators and independent curators. The aim is to
analyze historical background and new forms of self-management and collectivism in
artistic activity in the sphere of the informal economy, highlighting transformations,
ruptures, resistance and continuities throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
2. CURATORSHIP IN CRITICAL MODE
Is it possible to understand an exhibition as a critical essay? In this module we intend
to reflect on practices of critical culture in the field of curatorship, privileging tensions
and frictions, the difference and diversity of positions, discourses and creative
processes of curatorial production.
3. ARTISTIC AND DISCURSIVE PROJECTS IN CONTEMPORARY ART
In this module we will address discursive initiatives and experiences.
