Master in Medical Parasitology
Education objectives
This Masters course, taught in attendance and b-learning , dedicated to the study of Medical Parasitology in the context of tropical medicine and global health. The contents focus on parasitic diseases that are the major tropical endemic diseases (malaria g), emerging diseases (eg dengue) and neglected diseases (eg schistosomiasis).

Schedule
Mondays and Tuesdays, from 1:30 pm to 8:00 pm, throughout the school year. Theoretical classes will be taught on Tuesdays and may be attended at a distance using the Zoom system.

Degree pre-requisites
Duration: 2 years: the 1st year of the course consists of 8 compulsory curricular units (UC) (44 ECTS) and 8 optional UC (16 ECTS) and the 2nd corresponds to the preparation of the Dissertation.
Total credits: 120 ECTS for the achieve of the master degree (60 in curricular units + 60 in the preparation of the dissertation).

Each curricular unit (CU) is evaluated according to the criteria established by the Teacher in charge, which are available in the section "Evaluation method" in the "General characterization" tab of each CU.
The academic degree of the Doctorateis given a final classification in the range of 10-20 of the entire numerical scale from 0 to 20, as well as its equivalent in the European scale of comparability of classifications. The calculation of the final classification is obtained by weighted arithmetic average by the number of credits.
