Objectives

On completion of this course, a student should have gained knowledge and understanding in: how individual differences in
values, personality, and background can affect team functioning; approaches to motivating and aligning employee
performance; strategies for performance evaluation and feedback; designing and implementing effective teams; using
different types of power to influence others and achieve objectives; overcoming resistance to organizational change
initiatives.
The student should also have developed and received feedback on subject-specific skills: giving and receiving feedback;
evaluating performance; using tools for individual and team assessment; designing and leading effective teams.
It’s also expected that the student should have practiced and improved general skills: effective communication (written,
verbal); teamwork; critical thinking; reflexivity; self-understanding.

communities. Interpreting the organization: cognitive distortions and their implications. The causes of organizational
behavior: how dispositions and situations interact. Personality. Management motivation and creation of psychological
energy in organizations. The content and process of motivation (needs, objectives, fairness, expectations). Justice in the
workplace. Management of satisfaction in the workplace. Satisfaction and performance. Leading people: the leader as a
coach, as a facilitator, as an architect. The process of leadership, Leadership and Ethics, Leadership "difficult people".
