Teaching method
An interactive methodology is followed that associates a moment of formulating questions that tends to value the possible experience of the students and another one of systematization adequate to the integration of the contents and the regulation of the students' investigation processes.
Evaluation method
1. Work to be carried out by the students
Students must prepare an individual written paper following the guidelines defined in the classes. These papers will have different purposes according to the status of the variant “Social Policies” in the student’s training program:
A. Being “Social Policies” the chosen variant (the two seminars offered must be attended), the work to be presented must necessarily be one of the theoretical framework chapters on social inequalities in a theme to be defined together with the professor;
B. In cases where the Seminar on Inequalities and Social Policies is followed as an option, the theme of the final work will be defined with the professor.
2. Evaluation
The paper will be presented and discussed orally according to a schedule to be set. In addition to its formal qualities (reflexivity, ability to systematize, quality and diversity of bibliographic sources) the levels of theoretical and empirical relevance achieved will be considered. The student's participation during the Seminars will also be considered.
Papers that have not been discussed and monitored by the Professor will not be evaluated.
