Seminar in Archaeology of the Landscapes

Objectives

1) Develop the ability to work on the most current issues and debates in the field of landscape archaeology;
2) Develop the ability to interpret the landscape and the environment of past societies;
3) Develop the ability to read, analyse, evaluate and interpret diverse information coming from different approaches within the framework of landscape archaeology;
4) Understand the particular contribution of archaeology to the understanding of prehistorical, historical and current landscapes;
5) Develop skills to investigate and intervene at the landscape scale, mastering the latest best practices and methodologies;
6) Develop the ability to transmit, orally and in writing, the result of the research undertaken.

Teaching method

The teaching methodologies used in this seminar are based on the realization of expository sessions and joint discussion of the issues addressed, either in person or via streaming. Development of collaborative learning, translated into participation in debates and joint activities on the issues under study. Individual research, resulting in the elaboration of essays and/or a research work related to the seminar and to the work and research to be developed by the student in the context of his thesis.
