2. Feminist projects and literature written by women: short stories by Amanda Labarca and Leonora Carrington; and poetry by Gabriela Mistral and Enriqueta Ochoa.
3. The role of literature and the essay in the (re)construction of identities: «Ariel», by José Enrique Rodó; poetry by Nicolás Guillén and César Vallejo; «Canto General», by Pablo Neruda; and «El laberinto de la soledad», by Octavio Paz.
4. Tale, memory and narration: Augusto Monterroso, Mario Benedetti and Rosário Castellanos.
5. From the fantastic to the marvelous real: Alejo Carpentier and Julio Cortázar.
6. The last few decades. The Publishing Boom. «Antología McOndo». «Manifiesto del Crack». New themes. The 21st Century: Guadalupe Nettel's short stories.
