Objectives

- Promote the development of reflexive and critical analysis of practical issues of in-service teacher
education;
- Search relevant information for the definition of research questions in the teaching of a specific subject;
- Understand methods, techniques and tools for collecting and processing empirical data;
- Develop scientific research skills that allow the formal construction of a Supervised Teaching Practice
Report;
- Discuss and investigate specific topics of each scientific area.

Teaching method

The first part of the syllabus will be common to all students, taught by the general coordinator of the
courses; the second part will be taught by the specific course coordinator and will address the particular
case of each subject.


Practical and theoretic classes, using technologies of information and communication, scientific
databases e library resources for social and human sciences and siences and technology research. Modular
teaching, according to the students scientific interest.

Assessment - Elaboration and presentation of a research project for Supervised Teaching Practice(100%)

Part I: General Methodology Issues
- Epistemological questions;
- Scientific research in education;
- Practical research questions;
- The drafting of the Supervised Teaching Practice Report;
- The preparation of the public defense.
Part II: Issues Specific to Each Scientific Area
- The specificity of research in the teaching of the scientific area;
- The methodology suitable to the specificity of teaching a particular discipline;
- Particular issues in drafting and reporting a Supervised Teaching Practice Report.
