Subject matter
The Research Seminar in Art History does not have a specific syllabus, as its main objective is to involve PhD students in research projects - from antiquity to contemporaneity - currently developed at Instituto de História da Arte. Another important goal is to provide them knowledge and a set of critical and theoretical instruments, directly connected to the activities developed by the different research groups at the Instituto de História da Arte. In this sense, based on the two main research clusters at Instituto de História da Arte - Cultural transfers in a global perspective and The Exhibition: theory and practices -, PhD students will be able to take an active part in research projects, according to their interests and area of specialization.
