Objectives

a) Reflect on the work of the mother language educator.
b) Demonstrate the ability to research and read relevant literature.
c) Relate and articulate concepts and readings with one's educational practice.
d) Reviews the literature critically and displays professional and personnal self-assessment competence.
e) Display learning and openness to change through a process of reflective thinking.

Teaching method

Presentation and discussion of research questions and issues in teaching Portuguese as mother tongue.
Individual and small group tutoring sessions to support the organisation of the research project to be implemented.

Continuous Assessment - Continuous assessment based on practical tasks, tutorials and self-guided learning(30%), Preparation of the literature review on the chosen topic to research(70%)
