Objectives
Students will be able to: −Exercise the ability both to research and to select and read appropriate bibliography to develop a literary and/or cultural project work relevant to trends in English and North-American Studies; −Improve the ability to delimitate and formulate the objective of the research; −Write a descriptive memory that explores the components defined in terms of a project work; −Prepare the public discussion of the project work.

Teaching method
Presentation and discussion of research questions and issues in English and North-American Studies. Analysis of action/research projects and case studies; critical and reflective analysis of the individual research project. Tutorial sessions to support the organisation and writing of the project.
Evaluation method
Método de Avaliação - The project work will be evaluated during a public viva before a jury, according to the MA course regulations(100%)
Subject matter
Students will develop their individual project work plan negotiated with the supervisor so as to develop the project work within a reflective and critical perspective. Students will structure their work in accordance with a guided research, and the specific analytical perspectives and bibliography will be given within the individual tutorial sessions.
