Supervised Practice with Report in Trends in English and North-American Studies
Objectives
Students will be able to: −Apply scientific, theoretical, and methodological knowledge when defining, evaluating and managing projects and practices within the scientific area; −Promote the planning and development of innovative practices in cultural management; −Develop an informed and critical reflection on the contexts and productions of trends in English and North-American Studies; −Write an informative and reflexive report; −Prepare the public discussion of the research results.

Teaching method
Teaching methodologies assume essentially the nature of tutoring, supervision and organisation, as well as the management of analysis and reflection. Students will be guided by a professor of the study cycle, an expert on the area, who will be responsible for accompanying the Report. There will be regular meetings between the student and the supervisor until the final work is handed over; participation in scientific events; good use of on line databases and libraries; definition of a working timetable and a research plan; definition of deadlines.
Evaluation method
Método de Avaliação - The final Report will be evaluated during a public viva before a jury, according to the MA course regulations.(100%)
Subject matter
Students will develop their individual work plan negotiated with the scientific supervisor and the internship supervisor so as to develop the practice with report within a reflective and critical perspective. Specific analytical perspectives and bibliography will be given within the individual tutorial sessions.
