Evaluation method

The evaluation will be based on the elaboration of a practical group work and its presentation and oral discussion. The practical work will consist of one of the three following options concerning the execution of façades or window frames: i) the elaboration contracting documents; ii) the elaboration quality management documents; and iii) choice of solutions from the optimal cost perspective.

- Public Procurement: formation and execution stages of contracts;

- Proposals evaluation models: examples.

- Design phases. The design of facades: articulation with the Portaria 701-H contents and complementary activities (details of solutions, prototypes, tests and monitoring of the installation);

- Technical specifications elaboration;

- General notions about Quality and Quality Management;

- Evidence and quality assurance of a construction work: methodology to be applied - products, people / organisations and processes;

- Compliance marks. CE marking. The Construction Products Regulation;

- Procedures for Work Execution, Inspection Test Plans and Control Sheets;

- Sustainability concepts;

- Energy life-cycle: phases, simulation and calculation;

- Life-cycle costing methods. Cost-optimal methodology;

- Principles for the choice of façades and frame solutions in an integrated life-cycle perspective.
