Teaching method
Syllabus will be organized in theoretical and practical sessions, where academic problems will be solved in order to consolidate theoreticalaspects
Evaluation method
Two tests (80% of the final grade)
Average grade should be higher than 9.5 out of 20, otherwise students should take the exam.
Exam grade should than 9.5 out of 20.
Two mandatory homework (20% of the final grade).
Subject matter
1 - Nutrient removal (biological removal of nitrogen and phosphorus, phosphorus removal by chemical precipitation); 2 - Biofiltration and sequence batch reactors; 3 - Disinfection; 4 - Mass balances; 6 - Sludge treatment (thickening, biological andchemical stabilization, mechanical dewatering).
